Product description
The Vortex DC-3000 is a controllable return pump built around a sine-wave DC motor, which is why it runs at under 30 dB(A) even at full speed. The controller offers ten flow steps and a one-touch feed mode that pauses the pump for ten minutes.
It can be used submerged in the sump or inline with the supplied hose tails, and the ceramic shaft and impeller are rated for both freshwater and saltwater. Power draw scales with speed, from 8 W at the lowest step to 30 W at full flow.
In the box: pump, controller, 25 mm hose tails, inline mounting feet, 3 m DC cable and power supply.

Dead quiet
Running a DC-5000 at step 6 for a 300 L reef. I keep checking it is actually on. Feed mode is a nice touch.

Solid pump
Easy to plumb inline. Would like the controller cable to be a touch longer.
